out of 'soba' noodles. Is managed by the family Tozaka. Its specialties include
'Jun Te Uchi Soba' and 'Udon', 'Chanko Udon'. We like its 'Zaru Soba' (cold) or
'Kinoko Sona' (mushrooms soba, hot) and its Ayu-Yaki, a trout-like local fish
grilled in salt.
Located down the old road to the chalet, on Road 61.
Open from 11 AM to 6:30 PM, closed on 1st and 3rd Wed. Our favorites are the "ume oroshi soba", "ume tororo konbu soba", "umejiso soba", "ume miso mikomi", "nabeyaki udon", "maitake kakiage don teishoku", "sansai nabeyaki udon" and "sanshoku soba". To note also the excellent "sansai miso ramen". Located in Yubiso village on Road 291 to Tenjin Daira.

came from one of the oldest Japanese books 'Nihon Shoki' where it meant soba.
The restaurant soba wheat is a blend of five different varieties of soba. The
local specialties include the 'Sanpo' soba, a Zaru-soba (cold dish) \ with three
dishes: 'tororo', 'tameko' and 'sansai'. Other specialty include the 'Yamaganabe
Yaki Udon', a hot dish of noodles.
Located just after the bridge on the
reservoir and before 'Shintateiwa Tunnel', on Road 63 to Takaragawa Onsen and
Yukonoya.

A variety of
local dishes including 'Nio Soba' (cold or hot), 'Sansai Soba', 'Sansai
Tempura', 'Shio-Yaki Iwana', etc. The purchase of meal can be combined with the
entry fee for the 'Rotemburo'. ou will be in that case given the choice to use
the 'Tatami'-style room..
Ordering system is a bit peculiar as you need,
after being given a seat, to tick in on a form the dishes you wish to eat, then
pay in advance for it at the counter..

Try the 'Miso Oide ya Ribu
Ramen' (Ramen with miso and pork ribs), 800 Yen, for which the restaurant won a
competition between Ramen restaurants of Minakami Onsen. This ramen is only
served on week-end days and holidays.
