"Onsens" or hot spas in the Minakami area

Minakami area is well-known for its eight hot spas:

Yu Terume Tanigawa ("Yu Therme Tanigawa")

Tanigawa, Minakami Machi, Tone Gun, Gunma Pref. 379-1619 Tel: 0278-72-2619 09:00-20:30. Entrance until 20:00. Closed 3rd Thursday and days following a national holiday The outside bath is closed after 15:00 every Thursday. Opening time may change during the winter season.

This spa is operated by the Minakami township. It offers three spas from different sources: "Hotaru no Yu" (firefly spa), "Kajika no Yu" (singing frog spa), "Fudo no Yu" (the Immovable spa), and a large outside bath, overlooking the river.

The spa is located near the White valley ski station, at a few minutes from the center of Minakami Onsen.

Yura Yura Shirasawa Kogen Onsen Bokyo no Yu

On Road 120,4 km from Numata IC, on your way to Katashina Kogen and other ski stations. Alcalin water. Enjoy the in-house or external baths ("Rotenburo"). Also includes a sauna and a jakkuzi. Restaurant inside the premices.
