Generally speaking, you should rent your equipment if you are going to ski less than 4 to 5 years during the season.
Rental fees are almost equivalent in all stations, but only a few will provide with a tariff for a half-day rental (i.e. in Minakami-Houdaigi).
The table below gives you a general idea of rental fees at
stations
Ski set (ski, shoes and stocks)
| @ | Adult |
Child |
| One day | 3,500 Yen |
2,000 Yen |
| Half day | 2,500 Yen |
1,500 Yen |
| Nighter | 2,500 Yen |
1,500 Yen |
In some stations, you may be given a 30% discount for rental after 13:00, instead of a half-day rental fee..
A Suggestion
If you ski for more than one day, we recommend that you rent your ski equipment in a shop in Kamimoku or Minakami. You will avoid wasting time when renting in and out. Our preference goes to Rental Ski Shop Minakami.
Rental Ski Shop Minakami (also known as Suzuki Apple Farm or "Suzuki Ringo-en")
269 Konita, Minakami-machi, Tone-Gun, Gunma Pref. 379-1615
Open 06:00-18:00.
Tel/Fax 0278-72-3391
The shop is managed by M. Suzuki. Turn
left and drive for 500 meters from Numata I.C. The shop is
located on the left, next to "Yoichi" Tonkatsu
restaurant. Do not forget to bring an ID such as your Japanese
driving license. You must give back your skis before 18:00 on the
final day of return.
Daily rental fees
You will usually get a discount for multi-days rental.
